A 3D-printed panel
We 3D-print your photo in four colours of plastic: white, cyan, magenta and yellow. Where the photo is darker, the panel is thicker.

Light from behind
Inside the frame, behind the panel, is an LED panel. It shines through the plastic, and the layers become the photo.

Off it is white, on it is in colour
Without light you see only the white relief. Switched on, the whole photo.

Power
A USB-C cable with a touch switch: on, off and brightness. An ordinary phone charger works (no adapter in the box).

A 108 × 144 mm panel, about the size of a postcard, 2.5 mm thick, in a black or white frame.
The frame, and a USB-C cable with a touch control for on/off and brightness. An ordinary phone charger works; no adapter is included.

Before you order
Your photograph is printed as a thin plastic panel whose thickness varies: where the photograph is dark, the plastic is thicker and lets less light through. Colour comes from dye layers printed on top. Switch on the light behind the panel and the light passes through, and the photograph appears.

We ship within 3 to 5 working days of payment. You get an email when it goes out.
Bright, clear photographs with one or a few large faces. Dark photographs, and group shots where faces are small, come out worse. When you upload, we check the file automatically and tell you if we see a problem.
It is printed from the file you send, in the framing you chose. Lit plastic is not a screen, so fine detail softens and dark areas lose the most.
Because the panel is made from your photograph, the usual 14 day right of withdrawal does not apply. If it arrives damaged or with a production fault, we remake it.
Only we see it, and only to make your panel. We never pass it on, never use it for advertising, and never show it on this site without asking you first. The file sits on our own server and is deleted 90 days after the order. Write to us and we will delete it sooner.
